Surgical hysteroscopy (endoscopy) allows many interventions to be carried out on an outpatient basis. Hysteroscopy supports the search for the cause of bleeding disorders and abnormal findings in the ultrasound examination, for example if a distinction has to be made between a fibroid lying in the uterus, a polyp, an endometrial carcinoma.
Laparoscopy, also called laparoscopy, describes a method in which the abdominal cavity and the organs located in it are made visible with special rod lens optics (rigid endoscopes) through small openings made by the surgeon in the abdominal wall. On the one hand, diseases of the ovaries and fallopian tubes can be treated. This method will also be used to operate on uterine diseases.
Surgeries for benign breast tumors as well as for malignant diseases are performed after individual consultation. Plastic restoration of the breast is also offered. Further oncological therapy (chemotherapy, anti-hormonal therapy and radiation therapy) is carried out in close cooperation with the Medical University of Graz.
In the case of malignant diseases of the female genital organs, an individual treatment plan will be worked out with you after reviewing all available findings. Further oncological therapy is carried out in close cooperation with the Medical University of Graz.
After discussing your urodynamic findings, you will be offered the best possible therapy, which on the one hand consists of conservative measures, such as pelvic floor exercises, or surgical measures, such as a band insert (DVT). A physiotherapist for follow-up care is available in-house.
Depending on the disease of the uterus, the uterus can be removed, on the one hand through the vagina, and on the other hand by a laparoscopy.
